Join Loco Bloco, Good Samaritan Youth Services, Hector Zavala y La Tropa, Center for Young Women’s Development, community artists and activists in the Dia de los Muertos Procession Monday November 2nd in San Francisco.

We will honor eight artistic leaders of Caja Ludica who were senselessly murdered earlier this year in Guatemala. Caja Ludica is a community performing arts organization that works with impoverished youth communities all over Guatemala. In 2007, Caja Ludica hosted Bay Area youth who travelled to Guatemala for a cultural exchange.



Please join us to celebrate their lives by drumming, dancing and stilt walking on Dia de los Muertos. We will also build an altar in their honor at Garfield Park. Because the loss of life due to violence also wounds our own barrio, we will remember and pray for those who have lost their lives recently in the Mission.

The procession will begin at 7pm at 24th Street and Bryant, in the Mission District, Monday November 2nd.
